Own the Silence: Reclaiming Identity in a World That Speaks Over You
Description of Presentation:
Silence is often misunderstood as weakness, absence, or something to fix. For Deaf entrepreneur and speaker Ben Daniel, silence became the foundation for a life of clarity, purpose, and powerful self-leadership.
In this moving and perspective-shifting session, Ben shares what it means to grow up profoundly Deaf in a hearing world—and how embracing his identity at 21 changed everything. Through personal stories, humor, and transformative insight, Ben invites audiences to explore their own relationship with identity, resilience, and belonging. Own the Silence is about learning to trust yourself, speak your truth, and lead from who you are, not who the world says you should be.
